Conference News and Announcements
We would like to invite you to join us for SAIIE26, the premier conference of industrial engineering and related disciplines on the African continent. The conference gives industry, organisations, academics, and government the opportunity to showcase cutting edge practice and research.
The spectrum of work in industrial engineering is very broad. We therefore invite papers that fall within the practice of industrial engineering and associated disciplines, such as systems engineering, information management and big data, logistics & supply chain management, and project managemen. This year the conference will also include a broader range of presentations on relevant topics to industrial engineering including change management and leadership.
Delegates will benefit from networking opportunities to exchange ideas, to gain insight from peers and to engage with the most up to date thinking in industrial engineering. Besides these personal growth opportunities, delegates will earn CPD points for attending the conference. Peer reviewed papers will be published in the conference proceedings, earning publication credits.
Authors of the best papers will also be given the opportunity to develop their paper further to be published in the South African Journal of Industrial Engineering, an ISI listed publication with an international profile.

Submission and Review Deadlines:
The Abstracts only process (for presentations, posters or tutorials)
The Abstract + Paper Process (Research Papers or Industry papers)
Remember: We give you the option to plan your own submission schedule. If you wait until the last moment to submit an abstract, you will leave yourself very little time to write a paper. Submit abstracts and papers as early as possible, and we will provide feedback to you as soon as possible!
Proceedings Publication Policy: To ensure a fair process and to limit abuse, only accepted peer reviewed papers with presenting authors who have no outstanding registration fees qualify for publication of their papers in the proceedings.

2014 brings the annual SAIIE conference back to the heartbeat of the African economy, Gauteng. Nestled in the picturesque Magaliesberg, SAIIE26 will enthral and inspire you with cutting edge practice in Industrial Engineering, exciting new and previously unseen research and a new thrust in engaging the thought leaders of our profession in discussions about the future and the role that we will be playing in it.
We are excited to evolve and mould our conference into an even more relevant and useful platform for sharing ideas and for learning. Our ultimate aim remains to improve South Africa and the constituency that we serve in the rest of the continent and the rest of the world.
SAIIE26 will bring together the greatest thinkers and the greatest practitioners of the Industrial Engineering profession, which gives you a great opportunity to engage with employees and employers, users and developers, visionaries, contractors, consultants, educators, policy makers and other movers and shakers broadly inside our discipline. It is for this reason that we say that SAIIE26 is about Making the Connection.
Join us in making connections in 2014; connections between people, between companies, between academics and practitioners and government and civic society.
Help us to make the connection between thinkers and doers, between solutions and problems, between young and old, between the experienced and the unjaded, between leaders and followers, between today and tomorrow.
