Corné Schutte

Prof. Cornelius S. L. Schutte (Corné) is the Chair of the Department of Industrial Engineering and Professor at the University of Stellenbosch. He is an Honorary Fellow (Hon FSAIIE) and past president of the Southern African Institute for Industrial Engineering (SAIIE) and is a professionally registered engineer, with extensive international experience in France, England, USA and Hong Kong in Asset Management software design, development and deployment, mainly focused in the defense and civil aviation environment. He has an M.Eng in Industrial Engineering from the University of Pretoria and a PhD in Engineering from the Stellenbosch University. His research includes the application of Industrial Engineering in Southern Africa, Innovation Management, Knowledge Management, and Engineering Management. Corné is functioning as the editor of the South African Journal of Industrial Engineering (SAJIE).
