SAAMA

The Southern African Asset Management Association (SAAMA) is delighted to announce a program what will be focusing on women in asset management (WiAM). The purpose of this initiative is to nurture, enhance and celebrate women’s contribution in asset management, in line with SAAMA’s diversity objectives. The program will focus on three objectives over the next three years (2021-2023):

  1. Profiling of women in asset management across different disciplines (engineering, finance, academia) and levels (entry, middle and senior)
  2. Profiling of asset management projects led by women and awards
  3. Development of a guideline for companies to improve representation of women in asset management

We call on all women in physical asset management to submit their contact details at wiam@saama.org.za or contact Julia Mamakoko at 082 758 7538 for more information about the program.

SAAMA was formed in 1997 to promote the interests of asset management and maintenance as a whole, as well as to uplift asset management and maintenance practitioners in Southern Africa. It is registered as a non-profit organization (2001/010708/08) and a member of GFMAM (Global Forum on Maintenance and Asset Management) and the WPIAM (World Partners in Asset Management).

We look forward to interacting with you as we celebrate your achievements and inspire more women to join the physical asset management world.
